Breast Cancer Awereness

I am not the only one to sell pink ribbon items ! Let's see what other Etsy sellers have...

The House of Mouse has a cute little Charity mouse ! This little mouse loves to support worthy causes, and she is really concerned with the growing number of men and women affected with breast cancer each year. She proudly wears her pink ribbon, and goes around telling people how important it is to encourage breast cancer research so one day, we find a cure.

Anna, the owner of The House of Mouse will give 5$ of the price of this mouse to the International Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.ibcrf.org) for more details, http://thehouseofmouse.etsy.com

There is also The Pig and the Peacock who sells special pink ribbon items. In this case, we are not looking at adorable mice, but at awesome pink ribbon soaps ! For each set of three soaps sold, 1.50$ will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. Since 10 million women will die from breast cancer in the next 25 years, the foundation works very hard to save those lives. These numbers need to go down so we, one day, can eradicate breast cancer for good.

These soaps are made with goat milk, and smells like gardenia and tuberose. It is guaranteed to leave your skin super soft =) For more details, visit http://thepigandthepeacock.etsy.com

My own items are still for sale, if you're up for some jewelry ! 75% of my profits will go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, for my participation at the Run for the Cure.

Thanks for helping us fight breast cancer.

Jewelry for a good cause

This year, approximately 22 400 canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. 5300 of them will not survive.

This is the reason why some friends and I decided to enroll for the CIBC Run for the Cure, for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. On October 5th 2008, we will walk 5 km for all the men and women affected by breast cancer. (Not only women can have breast cancer, let's not forget it !) We are very motivated, and have a team objective of 3200$. We are planning diverse activities during the summer, such as bowling nights, movies nights and even a beach party BBQ.

As a part of the fund raising, I will be donating 75% or my profits on the pink items listed in my shops. Some of them have been created specially for this event, some of them were already listed for sale. If, however, you do not wish to purchase pink items but still make a donation, there is a possibility to sponsor me. Donations can be made online, on the Run for the Cure website. It is fast and secure, and can be anonymous or not. For more information, see the link below.

Help us create a future without breast cancer.
